This is the most important part of the grant proposal, this is the first impression you make and this only part may be the key parameter for your proposal success or denial. Pay attention to the points below and implement them the best way you can.

• The summary of the grant proposal must be placed at the beginning of the grant proposal.
• Outline the project and it’s goals
• It has to be brief, you can make it as a cover letter, remember, don’t write more then 3 paragraphs.
• It is recommended to write the summary at the end of the proposal writing to summarize the key point of the project.
• This is the first impression you make, it will be carefully reviewed by the agency officials, and may be the last, so write it the best you can, attract the reviewers to read more.
• Present your project as a local need. Explain how it will change the situation, and point how absence of federal support will damage the community.
• Show the influence during your project and after it on the situation and highlight how the federal funding will help you to achieve the project goals.
