Housing Grants
-
Housing is a fundamental need of the family or an individual to rest their heads in the evening.
There is a global sugar-coated view about USA that no poor people or homeless people exist in USA because USA is the World leader in all spheres of life. The fact is the other way round. As in other least developed countries, a developed country like USA houses millions of poor people according to their own statistics. Not only eradicating poverty is the fundamental duty of the Government but providing homeless a home to weather the onslaught of the nature is their first service to mankind. A Nation can only be proud if poverty is exterminated and the number of homeless people is brought to naught. International organizations like World Bank has fixed $2.00 per day earnings as Below Poverty Line and below $1.00 as Extreme Below Poverty Line and as per World Bank releases, there are a good number of people in USA under both categories. WB has pointed out that the number of homeless people are increasing annually.
Under the circumstances, it is the bounden duty of the Governments, Banking Community, Insurance Sectors and concerned Local Departments to jointly formulate low interest rate loans or grants for homeless people to own a proud House/Flat/Villa. Therefore, the Government seizing the trouble lying ahead of them has come out with a lot of attractive Housing Plans so the poor people are not put into hardship. As such, it is pleasing to note that the Government has set aside 140 Million Dollars this year for Housing purpose alone. Hand in glove with Governments, the Banking community, Insurance Sectors and Private loan lending lots have come together to help the needy to own a dream house. It is all the more happy to know that these sectors have taken a U-turn to help the people more so considering the fact that Housing Loan was once treated as a high risk area.
Now the people can approach Local Governments, Loan Lending Banks, Private Parties or Insurance Sectors to avail Housing Loans. What is more the Government has asked these sectors to overlook the past history of Credit Ratings of the people. Now Home/home repair loans are available with less interest and EMI (Equated Monthly Installment) as affordable as possible by the poor people.
If all the well thought out plans are put into concrete implementation, definitely, the number of homeless people will drastically reduce, if not completely removed.
